About The Artist

Ginevra Designs was founded by Jonquil Williams, who believes that everything an artist does is right. This philosophy unleashes creativity and lets the imagination run wild. Her designs are inspired by art, history, literature, years of travel around the world, and her international heritage.

"I think it's important to see beauty in every moment and to bring beauty into our lives because we are moving too fast. This is important in the aesthetic sense - to take a moment and see something in nature that makes us stop short in wonder. It's also important to bring beauty into our lives emotionally - whether to give a friend a gift of jewelry, a rose, or a card - it doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate or even store bought. When we express our affection for someone we bring beauty and love into each others lives. I make my jewelry with great love for this very reason."

Formerly a professional actress in New York City, she had more fun in those first 10 years as an actress than most people live in a lifetime. "The great thing is that life keeps getting better as I find other ways to make my voice heard, and I never stop seeking a fun way to live and work."

She has worked closely with big cats and strives to educate the public about the critical need for habitat preservation and conservation for endangered species. "I have a profound respect for the ancient Cherokee principle of making decisions with considerations as to how they will affect the next 7 generations. This principle was used by tribal elders to make decisions for the community and I believe this principle should be brought to life today - in our individual lives and in our global community. It's the surest path our planet has towards survival."
